Feature request for Update #1

Recommended Posts

Bryan,I wonder if you can add a hidden click spot (I was thinking on the top left and side of the main Captain's panel) that will open the FO Comm panel directly. This is one panel that is used very frequently and it would be great to have the option to go to it direct. thanks,Mark.

Hi Mark,I can easily do that in the 2D cockpit. VC is a bit tricker.I'll see what I can do.FYI, I've already done that for the Mode Announce Panel as per a user request. That panel will now pop up when you click the on the EADI.Cheers,Bryan

>FYI, I've already done that for the Mode Announce Panel as per>a user request.>>That panel will now pop up when you click the on the EADI.Bryan,I wish I had posted this earlier. I have an idea about mode announciations. In my opinion it is one of the weakest points of the interface. I undestand that the 767 SDK does not allow the modes to be read into FS2Crew.A panel popping up "straight" from the EADI is a bit better. Even better would be to have invisible clickspots on the EADI itself. You could probably fit at least six on it comfortably. There are eight on the original panel, but at least V/S announciation is already attached to pressing the V/S button so it's not really necessary.Users would need to learn the locations of the clickspots by heart, but you could have the original panel there to pop up from the main menu as a backup. Also, since they essentially only play sound files, it would not be a problem if you hit a wrong one. What do you think?

Hi Kyle,In Update 1, the Mode Announce Panel pops up when you press the EADI.So it's easier to access.8 or so invisible clickspots: Asking users to memorize 8 (tiny) locations would be asking too much I'm afraid.I have, however, made the background transparent so the individual buttons appear to float. It looks pretty cool.Bryan
