Landing altitude?

Recommended Posts

Hi,I am using Fs2Crew with a lot of satisfaction, and I have a question:who should set the landing altitude on the overhead pressure control panel? The FO doesn't do that during his preflight flow and I can't find it mentioned as a captain task. Thanks,James

Hi James,The landing altitude is entered by the FO but I am not sure of the exact time, it is not part of the pre-flight flow, as at this time there is not enough information in the FMC to allow this,, so it must be between the FMC being loaded and the PB, I think it is one of those things that happens as a time function.I have certainly seen the figures whizz round as the FO sets it (that day it was from SFO to MMMX) so the figures were going around for a long time. Also I think you have zo have the app and rwy selected for the app for FS2crew to read the SDK, so make sure that is done as part of the initial FMC setup.Chris

Chris is right,Just looked at my own code to remind myself of the exact number...Make sure you have the FMC Arrival Airport and Runway entered in the FMC by plus 16 minutes.Without the FMC Arrival Airport and Runway entered, the information required for the FS2Crew FO to set the landing altitude is not available.Cheers,Bryan
