FS2004 Possible Corruption

Recommended Posts

Guest johndefrias

Hello,This is my first time posting on this forum. I purchased the Level-D 767 back in June and love it! Just about an hour ago I tried to open up FS2004 and received a pop-up box that was titled "Level-D Simulations Module" and under that it said "Bad Licence for B767-300,FS2004 will now quit." I clicked on the OK button and the splash screen for FS2004 closed out entirely. I tried rebooting a couple times and keep getting the same pop-up and FS never gets to finish loading. I have purchased this product and have the registration for it and everything else that came with it. I am not very PC orientated, so I apologize in advance if I am not being specific enough. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated :) Thanks very much,John DeFrias

Hi there JohnFirst things first, welcome to the forums but your on the wrong one. :) The Level-D forum is located at http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/ and you'll have to register to post there (http://www.leveldsim.com/forumreg.htm)The problem your experiencing is because you have deleted or moved the License file that is needed to run the LeveL-D Simulation. This missing file basically validates the Level-D program and its absence is why your FS2004 is crashing. To fix this you need to do the following:1) Search for the file 'lvld67.lic' and delete any instances of it. Make sure you have 'Search System Folders' ticked under advanced options.2) You'll need your 'key' that was provided with your purchase, this will be a registry entry file with your name in it (i.e yourname-flt1lvld67.reg). If you do not have it go here to get another one: https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=keyrequest2) You will also need the Flight1 767 SP3 purchasing module. You need to install with the purchasing module/wrapper NOT LDS763-Setup3.exe (it is the module/wrapper that generates the license file that your missing). The installer you are looking has big a red plane as its icon. If you do not have this file or are unsure as to what version of the 767 you have be safe and download the latest version here:http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=ld7673) Open the wrapper and click 'Reinstall' and when it prompts you too navigate to the key I just mentioned above. Once its unwrapped it will auto start the installer and your away! This should solve your problem.Let me know how you get on.JeremyP.S Once you are familar with the Level-D I would suggest looking into the FS2Crew Level-D 767 Edition. It'll change the way you fly! :)
