V1.2 Issues

>I agree with hakan737guven. I have my flaps and spoiler set>to an axis and controlled by levers on my CH Yoke - seemed>pretty realistic to me, and I flew Boeing aircraft! Now none>of this works. I admire your quest for realism, but could we>have an option for conventional flaps and spoilers? All of it works, you just have to get it set up right. The changes forthcoming for systems failures won't permit keeping the default controls. For spoilers, you need to re-map your axis control to PROP 1 instead of spoilers. That can be done in FS or (better) in FSUIPC, since it can be done with aircraft-specific assignments so that FSUIPC automatically uses the assignments anytime the aircraft is loaded (and without affecting other aircraft that use the default axis assignment).Step-by-step to reassign the spoiler handle control in FSUIPC:0. Select FSUIPC from the FS Modules menu.1. Select the "Axis assignment" tab2. Check the "Aircraft specific" checkbox3. Move the lever to be assigned until its number appears in the gray box to the right of Joy#4. Check the "Send to FS as normal axis" radio button5. Check the checkbox to the left of the first blank drop-down box, and select "Axis Propeller1 Set" in the first drop-down box.6. Press "OK" to save.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

>Hi Bob,>>first of all thank you very much for your effort for us and>I'm sure you are doing the best to do develop this great>project.>>I've a question, what is the reason of change flap commands>from FS keys to mouse commands? >Why we can't use F6/F7 like as V1.1?what was the change? As I>said I'm believe, you are working hardly and you are boring>when you read complaints by amateur users or regular users. As posted earlier in this thread, the changes are necessary for where I'm heading next, which is realistic system failures.Step by step, to program the F6 button for flaps up:0. Select FSUIPC Drop-down box from FS Modules Menu1. In FSUIPC select "Key Presses" tab2. Check the "Aircraft Specific" checkbox3. Press the "Set" button4. Press F6...F6 should now appear above the Set & Clear buttons in the box5. In the "Control sent when keys pressed" drop-down box, select "Offset Byte Set"6. In the offset box, type "x6D11"7. In the parameter box, type "2"8. Press "Confirm" button and you should see the settings in the gray boxes on the right side of the window.9. Press "OK" to saveNow do the same for F7 key only parameter is 3 instead of 2. Now F6/F7 buttons will work.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Hi BobI have just downloaded V1.2 and just a few things I noticed, that I think are down to the latest patch.-The nav lights are out of alignment (the same as they were with thee cargo version before it was corected) but this was with all version.-The nose wheel and main gear contact points seem to have changed. The nose and mains appear sunken. That's all to report so far, many thanks for the latest patch. Can't stop have a 737 to fly!RegardsPaul

Thanks for the tip - I'll keep an eye out for that version. Are you planning on importing the TMII into FSX eventually?

Hi again Bob,thanks for your instruction about the change of command buttons in FSUIPC. Sorry for my english mistakes in middle of night. I'll forward your instruction to Turkish 737-200ADV users in Turkish virtual aviation forum. Thanks again for your interest. Meanwhile, there is a problem on spoillers functions still. sometimes opening full, sometimes opening only flight detend position. I tried two figure while landing tests, firs one with speed breaks arm warning lamp press second one, with mouse to get arm position the lever. In both of them, I receive a lever slide sound and checking lever full open on throttle panel but it seen doesn't open in spotview check. Maybe it is special for me.best regardsHakan737Guvenistanbul

Maybe it is special for me.No, for some reason the ground spoilers will not deploy if you're watching the landing in spot view. It's been that way from the beginning with this model...might have to do with how the animation is done with wingfold, or perhaps the gauge is being suspended by FS in that view. But at this point I don't have a clue as to what I can do about it.If you're hearing the spoiler lever actuator, then the panel is trying to deploy the gnd spoilers. Thanks Bob,So, if the spoilers can be set to the prop 1 axis, what axis is now used for the flaps?Dale

>Thanks Bob,>>So, if the spoilers can be set to the prop 1 axis, what axis>is now used for the flaps?>>DaleDale; Flaps are not controllable directly via an axis in V1.2--it's butonn/key control or mouse drag of the flap handle in the pedestal view. However, you could try using the FSUIPC axis assignments menu to have FSUIPC send a flap control (offset x6D11 param 2 (up) or 3(dn) ) based on entry into a defined region along the analog axis range. Frankly, control of flaps with an analog lever is not something I considered in the design. I'll take another look to see how best to incorporate that sort of control input.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

There will likely be an FSX version. But it all will depend on how FSX runs on my medium-high performance systems, and what sort of changes are required.I'm now closing this thread, as I would like to try to avoid non-specific "issues" threads that go all over the place. Please post specific issues in separate threads so that others can browse the forums intelligently when looking for relevant discussions of similar problems.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile
