Version 1.2 Preview

Here's what's new in V1.2 of the TinMouse II1. Implemented proper windmilling behavior for dead, non-seized engines. Come to think of it, windmilling behavior for a seized engine is correct as well. This is progress towards engine failure and airstart modeling in future versions.2. More refinement of engine start sequence, including delay between fuel flow and lightoff, and less rapid EGT rise for normal starts.3. Major re-write of spoiler control logic. Right-click on the spoiler handle, or click on the spoiler armed light will arm/de-arm the spoiler handle, and auto-deploy for ground spoilers also refined. Spoilers constrained from deploying until -0.25 deg pitch to prevent nosewheel slam-on.4. Alt flap extension implemented. Flap handle now works independently of flap position, so you can move the handle with hydraulic power off (or flaps jammed) and handle will move but flaps will not. Alternate flap/slat operation now works with switches on the flight control panel on OHP.5. High oil pressure effects and warm-up for very cold wx ops modeled.6. Support for RealityXP implementations of the Garmin GNS 430/530 added (can use a Garmin or combo of Garmins, or CIVA...but both cannot be present concurrently. Displays course and distance to next waypoint on HSI when selected.7. Mag/True heading switch added to enable true course and heading displays for high-latitude ops.8. Further refinements to Control Wheel Steering (CWS) system to allow more precise pitch control and a bit more responsiveness on roll axis.9. More refinements to pressurization system.10. Baro pressure units for altitude warning system now available (default) in inches of Hg rather than mB. Users can keep the original mB units by adding "-MB" to the aircraft title line in the aircraft.cfg file.11. Fixed fuel burn rate anomalies.12. Bob, Regarding the GPS, did you check the KLN-90B gauge from Project Tupolev? It's an exact simulation of the KLN-90B and it's being improved all the time. Lateral navigation, including SID and STARS, is already implemented. VNAV guidance is in development and the gauge can be linked to the default heading command. It uses the same database as FSNavigator and it can load FS9 flightplans. As the KLN-90B from PT is freeware, it would be great to have support for it implemented as well. I think basically, the gauge interacts with the default heading bug and has, as far as I know, no interaction with other NAV systems, like e.g. DME counters. I'm sure if you need more information, you can either post in the Project Tupolev forum or ask Michael (mikealpha) or the other Michael (ha5mvo) directly via PM.By the way, I've just realised that VNAV advisories is already implemented in the newest gauge. Well, I'm very happy to see you will be implementing a Mag/True heading switch -- I can't wait to take this bird on a Canadian North flight to Cambridge Bay and land on the gravel strip!Which brings me to another point...On the gravel stip equiped 732s, there are a few more switches on the panel. If you take a look at http://www.b737.org.uk/unpavedstripkit.htm, you will see that there is a switch for the anti-vortex jets as well as a retractable anti-collision light. I was wondering if there any plans to implement such switches into the Tinmouse 732 panel for the gravel kit equiped 732s.
