Nvidia 42.86 drivers

Recommended Posts

I am currently running 31.00 drivers and decided to upgrade to the 42.86 drivers from the Guru. When installed I noticed that changing views there is a slight delay each presumably while the new textures are loaded. This doesn't happen with the 31.00 drivers. I have gone back to the 31.00 drivers as this is unacceptable particularly when negotiating a turn on to finals.I have a GeForce 2 Ultra GTS with XP, 768 mb RAM and an AMD 2100+ processor.Any thoughts?

Did you uninstall the 31.00 detonators correctly in the first place?

I'd go back to the 12.41's. There hasn't been a GF2-specific improvement in the Detonators since 12.90. In fact, many driver versions beyond 12.90 cause diminished results with any GF2.Trip

Hi, Well, that information isn't quite right, I also wanted to use themuch praised 29.42 drivers, and indeed I got a few fps more but the text in the ATC windows became unreadable, especially on light backgrounds. I returned back to 41.09. Maybe the improvement is not specific, but I have now crisp and very readable characters.hmMy system: ALDI 1Ghz computer with 512 Mbyte and 32 Mbyte Nvidia GTS 2.

As I said, the later drivers often cause problems with the performance of the GF2's. :-) (BTW, the information IS quite correct).Trip
