how to get aircraft to start at terminal??

Anyone know if there is a a way to get Fs2002 to defaulting to starting at the ramp as opposed to starting on the active runway??

Yes, when you've clicked on "Choose departure Airport" you'll see bottom left "Runway/Starting Position".Click on the down arrow, and IF you can start at a gate it will give you options of what gate, and the size. Depending on what you are flying, will dictate whether you select small, medium or large.Hope this helps.Tim

You start fs2002, select the airport you want to start at, say LAX, choose on of the gates from the starting position, and let the sim restart at the position.Next you want to save your current session, there is a check box that ask if you want this session to be your starting session, and click that box.Close out the sim, and restart, now when the sim starts it will start at the gate. Not all airports have gates, you will need to use AFCAD to create new gates at the airports of your choice. These can be used as starting points, but you need to save the current flight, and make sure that it is selected to start at that point when the sim starts. This is the only way you can have fs2002 start at a gate.

Hi,Use the FSUIPC to place your aircraft exactly were you left it when you created your flightplan. Go to the module and click on technical, then click on 'no reposition' it will then leave your aircraft were it is.This is really handy for changing your flight plan whilst in the air!regards
