Hi Bob...If you have a moment...I can remember flying a Peoples Express 732 in the 80's to boot camp in Chicago... They actually wheeled a cash register down the aisle to collect payment after the plane was in the air... LOL - I oftened wondered what would happen if you didn't have the cash for payment - hmmm - parachute ???Anyways - how would this plane really have navigated...Without INS or GPS - how would you have known where your various IFR intersections were located ??? Would the flights been strictly VOR to VOR ??? Would it have used LORAN or OMEGA ??? Hmm - I don't ever recall seeing one of these units in FS... Anyways - thanks for all your hard work on this project - My Mouse and DF727 are my two favorite planes to fly... Really - very much appreciated - sir...Regards,Scott

Scott; You're welcome. It was done (and is still today in non-RNAV equipped aircraft) VOR-to-VOR. Intersections were (and are, for the most part) defined by the intersection of two VOR radials. LORAN and OMEGA were not accurate enough for fix identification...they were used in the wide open spaces like oceanic airspace where a 10-20nm position error didn't cause problems.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Hi guys,I saw this topic about INS on panel and I've a little question about INS on 737-200ADV panel of Tinmouse.Actually I want to know, do I make to do something wrong or not.As we see, we have two INS on panel, but I can't find INS selected button on panel.(for select INS1 and INS2 on navigation flight) Couldn't I see that select button or there was not like that button already? so we are using both of them on navigational flight as one INS!.which one is correct?thank youhakan737guven

There is only a single INS integrated into the TinMouse II as released. If you have two, somebody else has modified the panel. If it's the CIVA, there is a separate dual-INS switch gauge in the CIVA package that selects the INU to be connected to the A/P. You would have to place that gauge into the panel yourself. Be aware, though, that the HSI will always display INS #1 when NAV is selected on the NAV-RAD switch.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

I always prefer INS if I fly over 250nm flights.If only INS#1 in active on NAV flight, why we need the other one? because before flight we are making set the both of INS the same legs so we never use as active INS#2 even be make set.
