A new release...Merry Christmas

Recommended Posts

I just released a new TinMouse gauge file to the AVSIM library, V1.24 beta, which incorporates the better parts of my last year's progress on the TinMouse II.Here's where things stand now.FSX development -- permanently discontinued. I've wasted far too much time on it already.Future FS9 development: it's going to be slow going into 2008. My real world retirement is just months away now (!!), and I won't be getting much done on the 'mouse while we're packing up for one more last intercontinental move, and then wheeling and dealing on a retirement home amidst all the housing market chaos. That said, if there are any really heinous bugs in the V1.24 release I'll try to address them soon...and I may take the time to put together a releasable configuration for Ernie Alston's ISG 1.4 implementation of a Smiths FMS (lat nav only, though).Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

Thanks for the early Christmas present, Bob! I'll look forward to sneaking away from the family at some point tomorrow, and logging some 'Mouse time to try out the new gauge. And good luck with the move back to CONUS. There's definitely bargains to be found in houses these days.John G.KTUS

G'day Bob,Many thanks for the update - sincerely hope it won't be the last tweak for one of the best packages available.(Belated) Christmas greetings to you too and I wish you good fortune for 2008 - don't envy you the intercontinental move though, having done a few in my time, but hope it goes smoothly.regardsRick Canham South Australia

best regards

Only one thing I've noticed so far...and it ain't a biggy ;-): The parking brake will no longer release with the "." key, "Ctrl + ." must be used (the same as setting the parking brake). I verified this by re-installing the previous .gau and restarting FS9, after that "." released the parking brake again. Nothing that can't be lived with.I also added the C IVA ADEU card reader, just below the CDU on the Upper Radio Panel and it seemed to work correctly (only 1 try, so far):..................................................................[Window07]//file=radio_upper.bmpfile=radio_upper_xp2.bmpsize_mm=975,565window_size_ratio=1.0position=2visible=0ident=12gauge00=B732ADV!pdcs_cdu, 701, 5, 248, 219//gauge01=B732ADV!transp, 701, 232, 243, 122gauge01=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 674, 227, 301, 136, pic:nogauge02=B732ADV!alt_alert_cont, 421, 38, 157, 65//gauge03=B732ADV!radar, 338, 125, 338, 330gauge04=B732ADV!memory, 700, 506, 253, 54gauge05=B732ADV!fo_gyro, 718, 377, 213, 54gauge06=../civa/ins!cdu1, 2, 0, 315,243gauge07=../Civa/Ins!Adeu1, 2,245,315,165 <-------------!!gauge08=RealityXP_WX500!RDR, 319, 111, 354, 266gauge09=B732ADV!gyro_capt, 0, 389, 320, 176...................................................................
