Sherm what do you mean by setting mipmapping, I have it checked in FS2002 options it make it a little better than with it unchecked, is there a way to adjust it in the config file?

I would download and install gf4mxdsp.zip, it was upload to AVSIM in the past two days. It is also available at FLIGHTSIM and Project AI.It is a replacement display.cfg file for GeForce 3/4 cards. It was originally used to enable reflections on MX cards but it is also relevant to Ti cards also. Open the file with notepad or wordpad, arrow down to your card and remove the semicolons from the two lines below your card's title.Place the file in your fs2002.cfg file. If you want, rename the original display.cfg to display.cfg.ORG before you replace the file.If your card is not listed, search for my name for a detailed method for adding your card to the list.

Barry,I've downloaded and installed many different drivers for the Ti4600 and IMHO the very best are those created by Omega. These don't need mip mapping and there's none of the shimmering that annoys so many. There is a downside (of course!) and that is a loss of 2-3 frames but the improvement in image quality makes up for it. There was quite a bit of activity recently over some Detonator drivers so I installed them and set things up as recommended but the effect was quite awful for me.How we perceive images is very subjective but I think that if you have a processor powerful enough (mine's an Athlon 2000XP) you might like what the Omega drivers offer. When prompted during the installation routine make sure you choose Quality and not Performance otherewise they perform as standard nVidia drivers. Here's the link... http://www.omegacorner.com/Cheers,

Interesting idea William. I've also been experiencing a similar "problem" that Barry descrobed with the 4x.xx detonator drivers.Has anybody tried the fix that availible in the library, and if so, does it help out with the "shimming" textures at all in FS2k2 with a GeForce 4 Tixxxx card?Ryan-Flightpro08 :-cool VATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Senior Controller (C-3)ASRC (Advanced Simulated Radar Client) Beta Testerhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 42.86 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298-----------------------------Click Here to Download my American Eagle POSKY CRJ-200!
