Pitch Sensitivity (Again) FSUIPC Control Accel Engaged

Recommended Posts

Hi Mouseketeers,I have read the FAQ and have engaged the FSUIPC Control Accel but I still on final flaps 30 - 40 and speed around 130 that the acft is 'porposing' for want of a better phrase. Whilst I am trying to keep the rate of descent and pitch correct any small joystick inputs cause a rapid change in pitch. When I watcht the replay the acft noses up and down quite often (I suspect not just my poor flying). What else am I missing?Scottp.s. even if I hand fly circuits with no AP or no pitch changes - I get the same.

I agree with Scott.I must say for whatever reason the Aircraft sometimes gets completely out of control. In mere traffic circuits with AP completely off it is nearly not possible to hold altitude.I tried some things to solve the problem but I must admit in the meantime I'm using a different airfile. With it everything works fine. The decision to do this was not only the pitch problem. What I noticed, was as well that during every phase of the flight the elevator trim allways has to be pushed to max 'nose down' - even at allmost stall speed it hardly ever touches the 'green zone'.

Nothing has changed on the W&B and trim in at least a year now, so I suspect people are using a loader and getting excessively aft CG that's affecting longitudinal stability.Try moving some weight forward and see how that works.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

Thanks for responding Bob, I am not using a loader of any sort, if you get a minute could you post a good sort of 'default' load setup so I can have a go with it?ThanksScott

Guest mirrage

I face the same problem and I do not use any short of loaders. Can you give an explanation and a solution for the problem please?

Ok,I tried a very basic adjustment of loading the fuel forward as much as possible and does appear to make a difference. The 'porposing' is still there but I think reduced.Scott

Dont know what I have done now -havent edited anything - but I cant get the Reversers to deploy properly - they keep on wanting to stow even if I hold the F2 key down....more investigationScott

>Ok,>>I tried a very basic adjustment of loading the fuel forward as>much as possible and does appear to make a difference. The>'porposing' is still there but I think reduced.>>>ScottLoading the fuel forward? No, you need to put more pax in the fwd seats and/or more cargo in holds 1 & 2 Fwd. Fuel sequencing isn't an option, and much less effective anyway. To do it manually, in the aircraft.cfg file, the station_load lines are the w&b loading data. The first number after the "=" sign is the weight at that station. So to bump up cargo load in hold 1FWD to 2100 lbs, for example, you would change line:station_load.26 = 1200, 27, 0, -0.98, Cargo Hold 1FWD //Maximum 2146 lbstostation_load.26 = 2100, 27, 0, -0.98, Cargo Hold 1FWD //Maximum 2146 lbsRegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

If you don't have enough of a dead zone to keep the throttle input at zero (i.e. noise makes it spike up above zero on occasion) the reversers will be really flaky.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile
