Autopilot difficulties

Recommended Posts

Guest stealth_duke

Hi all,I've read through the suggested guide and I am still encountering a few problems.1) The ELEV will not engage under ANY circumstances. Cannot get any pitch control or altitude hold modes.2) Upon disengaging the AIL, it is only able to re-engage itself sporadically. Could this be related to my joystick, if it thinks pressure is being applied? I'm using a Logitech Force 3D Pro, and sometimes the spring centers itself just a nudge off calibrated center.Cheers,Ian.

Your joystick and Y axes must be in their null zones in order to engage the aileron and elevator (respectively) holds on the autopilot. That required me to increase the null zones just a bit on my system. You might try that.R-
