How to add GPS gauge to Oleksiy's Dash-8

Recommended Posts

Hi all,Is it easy to add the GPS window to Oleksiy's Dash-8 panel? I rely on it heavily to intercept glideslopes and it would be a welcomed feature on an already great aircraft.Cheers,Glenn (CYQG)

GlenI haven't a clue how to do this. If someone could let us know how, I'd also be grateful. It's probably pretty simple, once you know how.Gavin

Well, if you absolutely need to have GPS then you can try copying the line and section shown below and paste them into your panel CFG. The brackets around the entry Window08 MUST be square (the forum software doesn't allow square brackets for some obscure reason) so change them to match the other entries in the panel CFG. Shift + 9 will bring up the GPS in the lower right corner of the panel. This worked for me, but I found that FS Panel Studio becomes very cranky when dealing with this panel. (Window Titles) Window00=MainPanelWindow01=Upper panelWindow02=ENGINE_PANELWindow03=Pilot PanelWindow04=Caution PanelWindow05=Copilot instrumentsWindow06=WiperWindow07=Center Panel Window08=GPS <---- Copy and paste to add this line under Window TitlesAdd the following after the Window07 section(Window08)<------------- // Note: change to square bracketsBackground_color=0,0,0 size_mm=250,350window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0visible=0ident=90window_size= 0.214, 0.428window_pos= 0.770, 0.560gauge00=gps!gps, 0,0,250,350

Thank you Douglas. If the panel doesn't like it. I can always remove it and learn to fly properly...Cheers,Glenn
