Modifying AI flight Characteristics

Recommended Posts

Guest JustLanded

I wanted to change the minimum distance that the Dash 8 flys. With in AITM you can create a new Aircraft XXXX.dat, but once I modified the minumum distance figure I couldn't figure out how to reincorporate it into the traffic.bgl, or even if that was were it belonged. I tried using the trafficbuilder tool from Microsoft, but either I did it wrong or it wasn't the correct way to handle it. Any help would be appreciated.GW

The only thing that number is used for is when you use the Shuffle command in AITM - it determines which routes get assigned to which planes. Other than that, it's not used by FS in any way.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Tom,AITM tells me that I my flight plan does not reach the minimum or maximum distances that the plane can travel. The flight is then not included in my AI traffic. Please see my post in the TTools forum. I explain the problem more accurately there. Thanks for the reply.GW
