Suggestion for chart viewer with WideFS capabilities?

Recommended Posts

Guest Crimguy

I downloaded a number of VFR sectionals from the library - I'm tired of breaking out the paper ones.Any suggestion for a good chart viewer for my notebook - preferably one that might link to fs via WideFS.

I would look for programs that can take GPS inputs, and then use Dowson's GPSout utility. For example, Pocket FMS. I have other (payware) GIS software which also can handle sectionals, etc (they have to be geo referenced). I think for freeware fGIS or MicroDEM might work or shareware GPSMapedit.I think probably FSBuild and Super Flight Planner also have "moving map", but they draw their own maps, vice using a "sectional" style map.scott s..
