Should I go for it...??

Currently have a dinosaur 32MB GEForce 2 MX200 coupled to AMD 1.4 with 512 DDR, and can buy a Radeon 8500LE 128MB for $92.00. Should I do it and if so, where would I notice differences in performance? Thanks.Chris

You can get the Radeon 8500LE 128MB for $88. I'm sure you'd get better performance out of that card, and it will look better also. I don't have an 8500, so I'm just guessing.

YES, you'll get a rather large jump depending on what speed your processor is. My father went from a 32Mb Gf2 MX400 to a 8500 and he is "tickled pink" (his words...lol). The 128Mb really does help, but you can look for a 64Mb as it runs with faster memory (but most newer games will start utilizing the extra headroom of 128Mb).
