Setting correct time in FS9

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble setting the time in FS9 now that DST is over. My local time is correct 18:00 but my GMT is off (still showing 22:00)which is only a 4 hour offset here in the eastern time zone where it should be 5 hours or 23:00. For the life of me, I can't remember how to get this reset to read correctly. Help please. Thanks.

make sure your default flight is saved as winter, the default is summer. It is possible to just open the default flight in notepad and change summer to winter, this will sort you out.

>make sure your default flight is saved as winter, the default>is summer. It is possible to just open the default flight in>notepad and change summer to winter, this will sort you out.It appears that the flight is showing autumn with the correct date. If I change it to winter, the date changes to sometime in February and that will throw my logbook off. Where are you suggesting the season change (in the config file???) Thanks.

Hi,Load your default flight and re-save it under the same name. That should do it.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

>Hi,>>Load your default flight and re-save it under the same name.>That should do it.>>Thanks,>JimWell, it CAN'T be that difficult, but darn if I can get this thing figured out!! I'm at KATL and have saved my flight as "STARTUP" using System Time. The local time shown is correct, but GMT continues to show +4 hours rather than +5 even though we're now on EST rather than DST. What in the world am I doing that won't get me back to EST? Thanks for your help!!!!!

I was having the same problems but figured it out thanks to Bruce's post. Just change the season to winter, save as your default file and restart. The moment you select winter your date will indeed change to Febuary, but once you restart it will be back to your system time.
