WATER RUDDER QUESTION

Hi All,Can anyone tell me how to add a water rudder to a float plane that doesn't have one ?I am assuming the secret lies somewhere in the contact points section of the aircraft.cfgThanks, Mark.

Look at the contact points for the default C208.From the FS2004 Aircraft Container SDK:1 (1) Class Integer defining the type of contact point: 0 = None, 1 = Wheel, 2 = Scrape, 3 = Skid, 4 = Float, 5 = Water RudderOf course this will not add a visual - but would allow greater water taxi control.

Hi,Reggie is right - it's the #5 type. Hi Guys,Thanks for the info. I am trying to add a water rudder to the Captain Sim/Just flight CL-130 Hercules float plane. The entries I copied from the C208 cfg were...point.13= 5, -30.90, -5.250, -7.300, 1600, 0, 0.00, 50.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.00, 1.0, 1.2, 0, 0.0, 0.0point.14= 5, -30.90, 5.250, -7.300, 1600, 0, 0.00, 50.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.00, 1.1, 1.5, 0, 0.0, 0.0I assume this is correct. This had no effect. Toggled SHIFT+W several times and no luck.I also tried the entries from the MAAM XC-47 Amphibian...point.8=5, -27.0, -8.62, -7.50, 1600, 0, 0.0, 50.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.10, 1.0, 1.5, 0, 0.0, 0.0point.9=5, -27.0, 8.62, -7.50, 1600, 0, 0.0, 50.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.10, 1.1, 1.3, 0, 0.0, 0.0I changed the point numbers appropriately of course, still no luck.Am I missing something here ?Thanks for your help.Mark.

Ensure that the vertical distance to the water is at least that of the tires or lower so the rudders are IN the water.Hope this helps.Milton
