How to move the spot view away from aircraft ?

Recommended Posts

Very simple question: in spot view, when I zoom in, the view it's always centered on the aircraft's centre. Is there any way (including addons.. payware..) to move the view away from the center? I'd like to stay on the right side of the aircraft and zoom into its nose... at the moment I can only zoom in the centre of the aircraft.I need this tool to make better compositions in my videos.. I'd like to keep the aircraft on the sides of the monitor and not always on centre.Thanx!!

I tried with active camera but I did not find a way to do it actually... and from virtual cockpit there is a limited range of offset from center and also the aircraft is no shown with complete 3d model... (I'm flying with real air aircrafts. What I'm trying to capture is some images like this:http://www.iat-aerobatic.com/images/JPEG/I...m%20-%20007.jpg where the subject is not on the center... in Lock On is very simple, you just press shift + esc and you can move the view where you want with the mouse... Thanx for your timezaGURUinzaSKYhttp://www.iat-aerobatic.com

On the strength of Mark's recommendation, I downloaded and tried the recorder module for the first time today. It's doing everything I wanted with regard to spot view adjustments, once I read the documentation carefully and spent some trial-and-error time poking around.John

Here's a small example, as John said, go thru the docs again - I did not get it the first time either but it's so simple you'll kick yourself :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/160922.jpgedit - what the heck - here's a quick tute:Start fs, go to spot view and hit 'V' to activate Recorder's spot view - you are now disconnected from the central point of the aircraft and free to move. Use your VIEW keyboard commands (shft-enter, shft backspc, ctl-enter etc etc) and your hat switch (not required but I find it easier to look around) to freely move about :)Everything is customisable, can be saved, sooo much more - fantastic module man, deserves awards.regards,Markhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1024mb/X700pro256

Regards,

Mark
