ATC saying Decimal & QNH?

Recommended Posts

Guest aca_dia

I recently did a clean install of Windows Xp followed by FS9. My ATC now says "Decimal" for frequencies: 124 decimal 5. I don't recall ever hearing this. For altimeter settings it sounds like they are trying to say QNH, though it is a bit choppy for that section now. I thought they used to say "altimeter", but what ever they are saying now is not what they used to.The only setting that I would think pertains to this is the units of measure, which I have set to U.S.What am I missing?!

Are you using EditVoicepack? Perhaps you updated the voicepack with ICAO phraseology instead of FAA phraseology.

Sorry I missed your response a while back. That was it. I used editvoicepack for a single airport file and then uninstalled it. I never noticed the ICAO/FAA option on the update. Thanks for that!
