Hit " Shift + E + 2 " in immediate succesion. Almost as fast as you can say " Shift-E-Two ". Make sure you are not hitting the keys at the same time, they must follow the order given.Hope this helpsJohn M

Also be aware that if you use trackIR or Active Camera or some other view system you have to disable it first or the alternate doors & such won't work. Same with the "push-back & turn" functions and the fine control of instrument knobs & such.Cheers.........Smokin256

Hello nodark and Miguel, I personally don't use the default key combo for doors. I assigned just one key. I use the D key as I don't use it for anything else. D opens main door, D 2 for the second door. As far as the PMDG goes, I know on the 737, there is a key assignment available from the top menu bar (alt key) under PMDG settings. I assigned the C key to open cargo and service doors. It most likely is the same type setup on the 747. I have the 747, but don't use it much as I have performance hits with her. Check it out. I think you will be happy once you do this on the PMDG. For FS9 door settings, one key will make life easier. I hope this helped.

Hi,Hold down the shift key and press E. Then let the shift key go and press the 2 all by itself. Also, some aircraft do not have a second door programmed into the model. If it doesn't work then the panel you are using may not allow multikey assignments (i.e. it's sending messages to FS constantly and it interrupts the key sequence).Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Listen to Jeff - I do the same, reassign door comand to 'D' (or any other single key you prefer) MUCH easier hitting D2 thand shift whatever. Also there are gauges you can find in the library to make it even easier to open other doors.Regarding the PMDG744, use it's custom controls in the PMDG menu.regards,Mark

There's a handy little XML gauge in the AVSIM library that'll open those pesky secondary doors with a button you can place anywhere on the panel. Look for file cx_cargo_door.zip in the FS2004 gauges section. Many add-ons send a rapid stream of key events to FS in order to do their stuff. To operate the secondary door with the default key assignment, FS requires that the SHIFT-E and "2" keypresses occur in sequence and fairly close together. If you type in SHIFT-E while an add-on is also streaming key events to FS, then you must get to the "2" key before the add-on puts something else into the buffer, interrupting the sequence.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile
