anyway to make the pilot's head move in VC with no joystick?

Recommended Posts

I'm on my laptop now at my wife's family's house until tuesday and I gotta do some flying... I have fs9, and few of my planes on here, so I'm gunna make an attempt to fly... question is, is there a way to make the spot view pan around like with the joystick hat? and inside the VC too...this laptop does not have a 3rd scroll button either FYI :(any ideas?

The only way I use to pan is with Active Camera, so you can use a mouse to pan in the VC. And numpad for 2d (no need for AC though)Rob

Well, in VC view there is TrackIR - of course, it's not free but it works very well and is not limited to just turning the head... You can lean backward and forward as well, in fact you can do anything!Just the other day, I was sitting in my P-38. I leaned forward and looked down 'over' the steering column - there was a whole bunch of switches I had never seen!BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH

Well, he did say he was only away from his main PC for a few days.... I guess you could overnight it heh. :(Sorry to say that unless you have Active Camera, Walk & Follow, TrackIR, or a hat switch on a joystick, it's going to be difficult to move around the VC.I've never used the Flight1 F1View so I can't comment on that.
