Midwest Express and Skyway Officially change names toda

Featured Replies

Starting today, 3/1/03, Midwest Express and it's counterpart, Skyway Airlines, The midwest express connection, will officially be known and called Midwest and Midwest Connect.

On behalf of Midwest and my favorite, Midwest Connect I would like to display and hopefully route some interested viewers to the Midwest website. MEH, Midwest Express Holdings, has put out a letter stating their plans for an addition to their company, a low fare vacation type airline: http://www2.midwestexpress.com/whatsNew/de...p?id=197&link=1As of today, Midwest and Midwest Connect will be laying off some 400 employees across it's network, scaling back flights and ending service to some cities and implenting cut backs with the remaining employees and services. Working for Midwest Connect (Skyway), I was making $7.25/hr, now I'm down to $7.18/hr. All employees are faced with a 7 cent/hr decrease. Also food service on all flights are reduced to cookies, snack bread, drinks and simliar items, the signiture food service is being done away with until the company can get back their profits.I would like to call out for help from fellow travelers, simmers, pilots and airline employees to help out midwest and midwest connect by flying with them the next time you need to fly. This company is one of the few that are doing everything they can to stay a float and not go under like such airlines as: United, USAir and Midway.
