Just pull and hold the red knobs on the center panel in the VC. Make sure the fuel switches right below the red knobs are turned on... :-)

I'm really getting desperate herejust formatted the entire FS2004 partition..reinstalled FS..completely clean, no other add-ons installed yet, and still the MD-11 whenever loading a flight..doesn't matter if I select it directly and load a flight, or load the flight with the default Cessna first and then switch to the MD-11there is only one thing I can think of..is FS9.1 required? Because I'm running 9.0thanks in advance :)Harrie

I am mainly flying with the 2D panel, and have removed both VC HSI for good performance.I have also thrown away the AIR and Aircraft.CFG files, and have merged with Alain Capts FDE, which in my opinion is the best FDE for MD-11 there is today. The AIR files from Alain can be found in his MD-11 panel package http://www.acsoft.ch/Flight_Simulator/ACS-...md11-panel.html http://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gifDell Dimension 4600 P4/2.8 at 3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)AGP 256 Mb ATI Radeon X850 Pro ViVo, flashed to a X850 XT PE. Harrie,I do run FS9.1 on XPSP2 and can tell you that it makes no difference. I reckon it's a gauge causing the problem some of us are encountering. Try deleting out ( using //) window00 main panel in the panel.cfg and you will see that you can then load the plane.Roland

Staffan, you sure the merge does work with no crashes and if yes how did you do it? Can you use Alain's 2D panel together with SkySim's VC?Roland

Yes it seems, so they have provided a file for download on their website (at the very bottom under FAQ - Setup)with which you can change the MD11's FS9 path in the registry. Obviously you have to do that before installing the MD11. I have tried that out, but no success!! ...the whole thing is indeed very frustrating and I am beginning to be quite pi....d off.

Hi StaffanInteresting, I'll now try the same with my Alain Capts IFDG air and cfg files (don't use Overland's MD11).BTW do you plan to upload your panel edit to AVSIM, and relating to my crashes, at what resolution do you run FS9 and is it the same as your monitor's native resolution?Roland

Hi Roland,Sorry, can not upload the panel due to Copyright issues. :-)FS9 path: F:/FS9Resolution: 1280 x 1024 Windowed mode (same as the desktop)You also have to know that there are several values in the CFG file which needs to be changed. Thanks, but still no luck. *:-* Got the APU running and I pull the starters like crazy. The engine spins up to 12% and stays there. Whenever I disconnect the APU power, the engine spins up further and starts up, but that doesn't seem right. I'm using the FSX version by the way. Maybe there's something wrong with that one.

"I'm using the FSX version by the way. Maybe there's something wrong with that one."Interesting... You might want to go back to FS9 on this one...

'pmpilot' looks like I had to resort to the 'Flap' update above by you and Staffen. The autothrottle couldn't take it on approaches requiring a hard turn to final and an immediate decent...Now the only thing left is doing something about that framerate hogging HSI...
