It's still apples n oranges though because of other factors like multicore multithreading and multimedia extensions, and DX10 and all the rest. I still don't think there's a compelling reason to upgrade hardware now (electively that is, vs replacing dead components) as far as performance goes. I know the current C2D's and Athlons outperform this old 3.06 oc'd to 3.5 but again, by how much. I have no clue. For FS9 performance, what would today's best do vs my set up now?
