Anybody out there using both FSGenesis and GE Pro II together? If so, how are the framerates and most of all would you recommend merging them together.ThanksTom

Hi,They do different things and work together just fine, with no framerate hits. Your results will be stunning!!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Yes, I use both, and they are highly recommended, along with Ultimate Terrain too.Frame rates are not an issue. The GE Pro texture sizes are the same as the default textures, so no difference. Mesh performance is based on your .cfg settings, but in and of themselves, do not necessarily slow down your machine. My high recommendation, get:ASv6, FS Genesis mesh, GE Pro II, and Ultimate Terrain.FS will look incredible better.

Hi,What does UT offer that the GE Pro doesn't? I have ActiveSky and GE Pro and it already looks great, but I'm open to why UT is a benefit as well.Noel

GE Pro is textures, and UT is more accurate terrain, roads, rivers, railroads, shoreline, and landclass. Landclass tells the GE Pro textures where to go (cities, forrests, golf courses, parks, farm land, etc.).When you have all the above programs working together, it absolutely transforms FS.

I have GE Pro + Genesis mesh + UT working together. Fantastic! Can't imagine going back to default graphics.FPS hit is low. Everything works very well.

I already have American Data's roads. Do I need to uninstall that before adding in UT?

Jim, does UT allow you to configure roads so that the depth of cut when going thru hills n so forth is adjustable? I like how AD handles that . . .I DO want to see some golf course though!

For the most part, it is mesh, although they do have a landclass product (which I 'sandwich with UT's landclass), and some other assorted programs. But, Justin has been working in the 'mesh arena' for a long long time, and does some of the best you'll find...of course Holger cannot be forgotten. If you want to see what it will do, there are some freeware area's available in the library section I believe.

Actually, there are a few mesh files available for free in the library. The ones which will give you better terrain modeling would be 38 Meter and below.Do a search for 'mesh' and you should be able to get many results, or search for Justin Tyme, or Holger Sandmann. That way you can check out how the scenery will be effected, before spending some cash on a larger package. I also use Holger's mesh in addition to/on top of FS Genesis mesh.....but once you see what it does, you'll want more ;)
