Just wondering if one can use it to practice navigation with? In particular I was wondering about magnetic variation. Is it included, and is it accurate?J

Yes, magnetic variation is modeled and it is accurate within reason. You can even check it easily. Park a plane on a ramp and use "slew mode" (press the Y key) to point your plane to magnetic north, as indicated by the compass. Next, press the Space Bar. Your plane will now point to true north. The magnetic compas will indicate the MAGVAR, where you are. R-
