February 16, 200719 yr In the display preferences of FSIM 2004, I do not see a native (16:10 ratio) resolution available. I was wonder if and how, I can get FSIM 2004 to show properly on a widescreen monitor. It's a pity that I have a 24" widescreen display, but my FSIM 2004 displays in the traditional 4:3 ratio which is simply stretched horizontally. If anyone has any tips on how I can achieve this, please let me know. Many thanks!!
February 17, 200719 yr Forget the 2D panels.(Which IMO, are a tunnelvision bore anyway.)Widescreen works perfectly in VC. I just upgraded to a 24" and it's great!
February 17, 200719 yr What you can do on your widescreen monitor is in full screen mode is to keep the outside view stretched across the top of the monitor. Then resize proportionally the instrument panel and place say on the left hand side of the monitor. This should then leave a blank space on the lower right of the screen - you fill this with say the radio panel or GPS etc (resizing as necessary)- depending on the a/c you are flying. This should look quite effective for a 2D display.Martin Plain
