Overweight aircraft.

Flight sim loads some aircraft overweight. I am wondering if it's possible to get them empty, so that I can put in the fuel & payload I want rather than the default procedure of taking fuel & payload out?Thanks.TerryW

Terry, you can change this for any aircraft you have within FS when you pick your aircraft, or in each Aircraft.cfg file.Mind the center of gravity :-)

Thanks. I know I can change payload & fuel but I was wondering why some aircraft come overweight & some don't? Rather than have to change the loading after selection I'd rather get them empty & then load-up! I wondered if I could set this for fs as a whole? I will check airfiles for the overweight ones though. It wasn't until I checked the weight of sluggish aircraft that I found some were overweight.....!

I have a similiar question to ask, regarding center of balance. For most GA A/C, if you fly with a very small load, the weight is to the very front of the range of balance. Is that a real problem for actual flying conditions? I've adjusted most of my A/C .cfg files to show just my own weight and co-pilot, 155 & 110 lbs, and full fuel load.Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like -M.Twain
