Database to identify Airport name and location by ICAO code

It would be nice when flying heavies to be able to look at given ICAO code and determine the airport name and location to see where one is, KLSC = Salt Lake international, Salt Lake City, UtahDoes anyone know if such a database exists. Obviously it is hard coded into FS 9, but one cannot stop while flying to look up something in the flight planning section very easily.I have searched on line and never really found such a database.Greg

For the USA, you could simply use the FAA site.....simply type in the ICAO code, and not only do you get the airport, but also the current terminal charts for it:http://www.naco.faa.gov/digital_tpp.asp?ve...&end=03-15-2007

You could also download vpn14us.zip from the library. It is a mod to the Kneeboard by Jared Smith and Nick Schreger. There is a spot there where you can type in the ICAO and it will give you all the airport info right in the kneeboard on the fly. There is also a weather database as well as other useful things. You still retain the other FS9 functions of the kneeboard. It is a very useful program!Bill
