I load up: FS Genesis NA Mesh and LC, then UT_USA, do the sandwich patch, then load up ASv6.5, GE Pro and finally Flight Environment. Then I let GE Pro build it's texture sets for a day or so. . . When ActiveSky has finished downloading the current weather, over - say Seattle - it will then launch GE Pro which will then select and load the texture which matches the weather. This is a superb system, and makes manual, very basic programs like BEV redundant. I HAD BEV, but it is SO limited that I'm surprised anyone is still using it.There is no noticeable performance impact. It takes longer to load when you are downloading weather and then firing up GEP, but over a half-hour flying session, it's nothing. There is no flight session fps degradation.

some folks like the UT LandClass for city areas, as it's felt to be better than the FS Genesis city LC, with FSG LC having better "urban/countryside" LC - so both developers created a patch to allow this to happen.http://www.scenerysolutions.com/Downloads.html9th or 10th down.pj

PJWould you recommend uninstalling BEV and installing GE on top of existing FSGenesis and UT or, uninstall all and start "layering" in as suggested?What does flight environment do in addition to ASv6.5?I had same question about sandwich patch--understand now--lastly, I've got Cloud9's KDCA, FlyTampa KTPA. Imagine KCLT and KDTW, as well as Megahubs airport scenery add-ons, plus freeware KBOS (George Grimshaw) and KLGA--would those have to be reinstalled after installing GE?What's the difference between the recent CD GE version and the downloadable GE PRO?Do you have any screenies to look at?Thanks mate!KemoF15

1).First I would uninstall BEV, then do a registry clean: then install GE Pro. GE Pro is textures - not landclass or mesh, so it has no impact with either FSG or UT so you wouldn't need to uninstall either.2). FE has great clouds, so I select the "style and mood" of cloud and water anytime. I've seen lots of posts proclaiming this, but I don't know that I can tell the difference!3). No - you won't need to uninstall any of your airport sceneries. They will all work well with GEP. 4). Dunno!5). Gimme ten minutes. . . .:-):-):-):-):-)What a great way to spend Saturday!

PJVery nice pics! I did a quick spin around KCLT--Superb!!!--much better than BEV! Couple questions:1) GE PRo runs in background like ASv6.5?2) What are your techniques/lessons on starting sequence for FS9?Currently, I build flight plan in FSBuild, assign gate in Gatekeeper, download weather in ASv6.5, import my route into ASv6.5 for route weather--minimize (hide), then start FS9--start squawkbox 3.1, then FSACARS for my virtual airline logging.Thanks muchKemoF15

Thanks Jim--how do I setup ASv6 to auto run GEP?PJ--GEP comes with default partly cloudy texture--when creating a new texture set--like overcast--what value do you put in box? they all have a zero in them.ThanksKemoF15

Jim, when we set our ASv6 to run GEpro, on auto sumit, does GEpro auto start FS9 auto. I don't want it to, because I then use FE and Sky Environment. What I do is1. Start ASv6 in paused mode. Import FP2. Start FE , randomise and install3. Start Sky Enviroment and choose my sky and install4. Start FS9, get to my airport and then Refresh ASv6. This gives me FE clouds and water, Sky Enviroment's sky and ASv6 weather engine. Were would I stick GE pro in this config to use its ground textures. thanks Jim love your program and support, Bob

Hi Kemo,Create texture sets when you are going to be away from your computer for a bit of time. I think 10 sets each is a good starting point. Remember to defrag after creating sets.On the ASv6 Options page under Grpahics there is a Box called Enable GE Pro Submit on New FP.
