Meljet 777 Virtual cokpit question

Recommended Posts

Hello AllI have downloaded quite a few of the meljet 777s and they are very good barring one thing. The planes mostly use the default MS777 cockpit, but i use one i downloaded myself, when i switch from 2d to virtual cockpit some of the models display no Vcockpit at all which is fine by me i am not VC fan but others seem to display (in Vcockpit view what looks like half a door(some sort of cabin texture)which divides the screen in two.I have tried everything to get rid of this but with no joy.It irritates me so much that i have deleted all the 777s with this glitch.Has anybody got any ideas what is occurring here and weather i can solve it?cheers Andy

Hello.I made some wingviews for this plane that fixes your problem. You get rid of that door and get realistic wingviews in return :)Just copy-paste the following into the panel.cfgs of your Meljet 777s. Replace the [views] section you have with the following:777-200[views]VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_EYE=0.800, 0.000, -42.000VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=1.000, 0.000, 290.000VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_EYE=0.800, 0.000, -42.000VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=1.000, 0.000, 70.000VIEW_LEFT_EYE=0.8, 0.2, -29.000VIEW_LEFT_DIR=5.000, 0.000, 270.000VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=0.7, 0.2, -29.000VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=5.000, 0.000, 90.000VIEW_REAR_LEFT_EYE=-1.700, 1, -13.000VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=12.000, 0.000, 230.000VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_EYE=3.400, 1, -13.000VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=12.000, 0.000, 130.000VIEW_REAR_EYE=-2.100, 1.000, -5.000VIEW_REAR_DIR=12.000, 0.000, 210.000777-300[views]View_forward_left_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_left_dir=7.0, 0.0, 311View_forward_right_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_right_dir=7.0, 0.0, 049View_left_eye=3.0, -0.3, -38.0View_left_dir=5.0, 0.0, 283View_right_eye=-1.5, -0.3, -38.0View_right_dir=5.0, 0.0, 77View_rear_left_eye=-1.7, 1.0, -14View_rear_left_dir=12.0, 0.0, 224View_rear_right_eye=3.10, 1.0, -14.0View_rear_right_dir=12.0, 0.0, 135View_rear_eye=-1.7, 0.5, -23.4View_rear_dir=2.0, 0.0, 270Hope that helps.

You're not going to get the virtual cockpit in the meljet airplane. But you can copy over the panel.cfg file from the default 777 and that will give you that 2d panel

Make that in your Meljet 777 folder there is a panel folder present. So your file structure should look like this (I've made up the filenames for examples sake):Meljet 777-200-sound-panel <--- this folder should have a panel.cfg inside -aircraft (.cfg)-777200 (.air)Within the panel folder there must be a panel.cfg (a notepad file)Open that and you should see a [views] section.Overwrite that section with the codes I gave you. Make sure you *only* copy paste starting from [views] to the end of the code. Like this:[views] View_forward_left_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_left_dir=7.0, 0.0, 311View_forward_right_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_right_dir=7.0, 0.0, 049View_left_eye=3.0, -0.3, -38.0View_left_dir=5.0, 0.0, 283View_right_eye=-1.5, -0.3, -38.0View_right_dir=5.0, 0.0, 77View_rear_left_eye=-1.7, 1.0, -14View_rear_left_dir=12.0, 0.0, 224View_rear_right_eye=3.10, 1.0, -14.0View_rear_right_dir=12.0, 0.0, 135View_rear_eye=-1.7, 0.5, -23.4View_rear_dir=2.0, 0.0, 270You can use these view-codes with any panel you want - search Avsim and there are some nice 777 panels. Using these view-codes you will get wingviews for your 777 similar to this one I made for an A330:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/ThrottleUp/Male2.jpg
