Captain sim 727 question

Recommended Posts

Hi All, does the CS legendary 727 have a fully active VC like the DF 727?Does the VC overhead have active switches enabling engine start, normal operation etc, from the VC? how are the cockpit ambience sounds like stab. trim, A/C packs etc?I'm asking because I feel kind of burned by the CS 707 as it's VC overhead is a blank bitmap (from a 727 no less!) and even engine starts cannot be accomplished from the VC. The 727 VC looks great......I'd just like to make sure it works great before I buy.Thank youStan

No, no, and no.The CS 727 has lots of problems you won't find in the Dreamfleet 727...like wacky EPR gauges that display nonsensical and unusable values, fuel flow gauges that significantly underreport the amount of fuel being taken from the tanks, and flight dynamics that emulate the graceful performance of a used refrigerator being thrown over a cliff. And if you like getting meaningless canned responses to your tech support issues, you'll love Captain Sim. The reason they have all those canned responses is because they've been getting the same complaints for 4 straight years without doing anything to fix the problems, so they have their answers down pat.But hey, it looks great...Caveat EmptorRegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

>>But hey, it looks great...>It sure does, and that's why I spent a total of $9.99 for an exterior shell only. Graphic art is what C/S excells in! As does Carenado. For everything else, I have the Dreamfleet version.L.Adamson

Carenado? Hardly, they make some of the best G/A planes around.C/S stuff is just plain eyecandy and nothing else. That being said all DF G/A planes are also in my hangar and are the best but the Carenado planes are well worth the money.Back to the original poster, for sure get the DF 727. It is by far the best 727 around. It also has RXP weather radar included. Once I got the DF 727 I sold my C/S 727 on e-bay.

>Carenado? Hardly, they make some of the best G/A planes>around.>>C/S stuff is just plain eyecandy and nothing else.>The Carenado remark was in regards to the "eye candy" department. Excellent artwork with the graphics! Perhaps I should have clarified the statement.

I was involved in the DF 727 production and mistakenly assumed that our competition was near the same realm!I unfortunatly bought the CS 727 yesterday for 14.99.It looks great standing still, but that is about all it is good for.Almost NOTHING works in the VC not even exterior lights. It has an unfinished feel as if they moved on to something different before they were done.I have heard tell that CS sanitizes their forums to make it look better and now I have to wonder.I am most disappointed in the various reviewers who gave it such high marks.I really appreciate the work we did at Dreamfleet and what a good 727 package that really isStan
