Lost Aircraft!

Recommended Posts

Help! I tried to do it myself, and now I'm paying for it. I tried to add a GPS to my Flight1 Pilatus PC-12. First, I made a copy of the panel.cfg file before I started editing. My changes which is the subject of another post, didn't seem to work, for when I tried to open FS and select the aircraft, it was no longer in my aircraft menu. I figured it had to do with the editing, so I recopied the backup file to the panel folder but it still doesn't show up. What happened??? Thanks. Tom

Hi,If you have messed up your panel.cfp you still should see the aircraft in the aicraftlist, only the panel will be invisible in FS2004.When a aircraft doesn't show up in the aircraft list, most likely something has changed/deleted in the aicraft.cfgOpen the aircraft.cfg and check if the entry is still there.

When this happened to me, I used thisftp://63.217.28.218/47misc/fsacc.zipFSACC will give you a list of aircraft (working or not). You can then select that aircraft and it will tell you if the configs (aircraft, panel, or sound) refer to nonexistent resources... Helped me fix my troubles.NOTE: It's not in the avsim library ... :(

Thanks Egbert, I checked the Pilatus aircraft.cfg and it seems fine. Panel.cfg is the original too, I can't figure what happened, but only my Meridian and Cessna are in the Flight1 drop down menu. Regards, Tom

Check in MY COMPUTER under Microsoft Games/Flightsimulator9/Aircraft and see if the airplane is still there. You may need to re-load the entire airplane.John M

Yes John, the first thing I checked was to make sure the aircraft folder was still there. The only thing I did was edit the Panel.cfg AFTER backing it up first. When I first noticed the plane missing I did not get worried figuring it was due to my changes. When I reloaded the original backuped file and it still did not show up, I got worried. Regards, Tom
