I've seen my computer wig out a number of times when switching back-forth from windowed to full screen mode...most of the problem has been video driver related I think. Now that I have AA/AF working in windowed mode, I rarely mess with full-screen because of the chance of inducing problems when swapping back/forth.Anyway, a few months ago I saw something similar that plagued me for an entire weekend...I remember finding an article that mentioned the fact that most of the newer power supplies keep parts of the PC powered-up even when switched off, and I switched off the PS with the switch on the back of the cabinet for about 30 seconds to force a complete power-down and reset of every component on the PC (including the video card). That cured it...right as I was ready to drop-kick the box out a 2nd story window.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

I had the same issue in my x64/NVIDIA system. Best way I found around it was to hit the WINDOWS key and go from there with FS minimized rather than going to a windowed mode.Joe Lorenc

I had the same problem...for years. And then one day I tried switching from tri-liner to bi-linier in FS9 and the problem went away.

Still experience this problem myself, mine started after installing AES.To get around this I Alt+Tab to minimize FS, start RC or whatever I need to do and then restore FS by clicking on its tab in the tool bar.Anything else results in FS freezing, it took days to get to this solution but it does work.JohnCore2 Duo 66002048 MB DDR160GB HDDNVidia 7950 512mbCH Yoke and PedalsHead TrackerRC4AShttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

Hi,I left this a few days ago but got no response. Sounds like you may have the same problem I'm having with my Nvidia 8800GTX board. Can someone try this and see if its just my problem or a problem with FS2004. Let me know what video card and drivers you have as well.1. Start FS2004 in widowed mode and change to full screen mode at the Create A Flight screen. Then create a flight to anywhere, with any aircraft, at anytime. Once FS2004 loads, try going from full screen to windowed mode. Make sure you click outside FS2004 so its
