Help .. FS9 unable to load erj.gau in the Bill Grabowski ERJ145 aircraft.

Featured Replies

Hi all ... just downloaded and installed this ERJ145 aircraft by Bill Grabowski. Looks very promising from what I read in the docs. However, when I change my aircraft to any of the various embraer aircrafts that come with this package, FS9 goes into a constant loop saying:"Flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft of software will be disabled.File: Gauges/Erj.gau". But apparently, I cannot continue using fs9 since this error message is a constant loop .. no matter how many times I keep pressing the "ok" button, it does not exit out of this error message. I have checked and double checked to make sure this file (erj.gau) is indeed in the FS2004/Gauges/ folder. Any one experienced this or knows what is the solution to this?

An update: I searched google and some posts out there say I need the fssound.dll file in my fs9/modules/ folder. Found this dll file among one of the various gauges in the avsim library and installed it. FS9 complains about an incompatible version but asks if I still want to go ahead and load it. So I go ahead and load it and everything seems to be working fine now .. yeaahhh :-) ------------I guess the only thing remaining is to wait for the VC for this aircraft ... it's in the final testing phases .. discussion at http://forum.projectopensky.com/index.php?showtopic=26390
