CRJ200 fuel burn

Recommended Posts

D.S. Thank you for your very interesting reply. Much appreciated.I looked up FLIGHTAWARE and it sure looks interesting. I belong to DELTA VIRTUAL AIRLINES. To tell you the truth D I am really not interested in these addons. To learn these programs is very time consuming and wasting my time for getting into flying. If you don't mind I have a few questions. >Do you belong to a virtual airline(curious)>When you get your routes do you fly manually?A/P? >Do you have a favorite aircraft you fly. Seems you know alot about feelthere CRJ. Do you fly It?>Do you believe in FMC'S?>Do you mind helping me out when I need it?(mentor)I really need somebody. I've been flying since Jan 2004.>Do you have any addons?Anything you would do for me would be most appreciated.Tim:)

>>Do you belong to a virtual airline(curious)i did many years ago (6+ish years ago). work and personal life made me unable to fly as i felt proper for the VA. my work and life situation changed 18 months ago. i've not re-joined the VA as i've found other activites to fill my time.>>When you get your routes do you fly manually?A/P?AP mostly. i do some hand flying in a few GA aircraft.>>Do you have a favorite aircraft you fly. Seems you know alot>>about feelthere CRJ. Do you fly It?i fly feelthere created aircraft for the majority of my flying. in jan. '07 i was asked to join the feelthere group to provide support on their forums.>>Do you believe in FMC'S?yes ... but i believe many many FSers don't know how to hand-fly aircraft. as i started FSing before FS-FMCs were developed i am able to handle an aircraft without FMC/AP assistance for controlling the aircraft. i also know how to navigate using VORs and NDBs. i've also taken the time to learn how to use the CIVA-INS.>>Do you mind helping me out when I need it?(mentor)I really>need somebody. I've been flying since Jan 2004.sure thing>>Do you have any addons?the only payware i own are aircraft (most of those are from feelthere ... and others reading this - i PURCHASED all but three of those). i also have eaglesoft, aerosoft/eurowings, PMDG, PSS and lago aircraft in my FS9 'hanger.' i have some favorite freeware planes: tinmouseII 737-200 and Stellan's DC9. i use freeware AI, AFCADS and clouds. no payware of freeware landclass or other such FS 'eye candy' updates.>Anything you would do for me would be most appreciated.Tim:)i'll assist as i can. there are many many other forum members that can also provide valuable information.--

Willow,You can find a CRJ2 performance file for FSBuild here:http://www.fsbuild.com/forum/viewtopic.php...9&highlight=crjYou can also download this free utility for a CRJ2 that allows you to compute fuel, payloads, V speeds, etc., from http://www.flightsim.com. There you will have to log in and perform a file search for a file named crjplanr.zip. Hope this helps in your quest.Dave Vega

>> What is CIVA-INS?a simulation of the Delco Carousel IV-A Inertial Navigation System. "Many liners where equipped with this unit, the Boeing 707, Douglas DC-8, Lockeed L1011, Douglas DC-10, Boeing 727, Boeing 747 (not the -400 model), just to mention the most famous. It could be easily found installed also on smaller jet aircrafts (like the DC-9 or the B737) or even on executive class jets." (from v1.4 manual, for details: http://www.simufly.com/ins/)>>where did you get the fs hanger? Is that the addon manager?my use of the term 'hanger' means those aircraft installed into FS. there are fs hanger programs to organize/install/un-install aircraft. a search of the flightsim.com and avsim.com libraries (for example) will provide free/share-ware downloads.>>>where did you get the free AIi use the following:* http://www.ai-aardvark.com/* http://www.projectai.com/* http://www.evolveai.com/* http://www.world-of-ai.com/all the above a freeware. project AI and World of AI have installer programs that will do the 'heavy lifting' required to install the aircraft/airlines.>>what is a AFCADS?AFCAD is slang for the airport design files that FS uses to display runways, taxiways, ILS systems, etc. the slang comes from a 'CAD' (computer aided design) program designed by Lee Swordy. these files can be collected from the avsim.com and flightsim.com libraries (for example) to replace the FS default airports. in most cases FS airports allow to few parking spaces, have errors (my personal favorite is incorrect run/taxi-ways at Spokane Intl (KGEG)), and are out of date (FS9 info is from mid-2003 at best).>>top left corner. it shows 250/290 for all 3 itemsthese are the indicated airspeeds the table assumes the aircraft is flying - 250kts is for below transition altitude (in your case, canada, when below 10000' one must be going slower than 250kts IAS); and above transition altitude 290kts. there is also the mach number. this is the speed the aircraft is assumed to fly when IAS equals the assumed MACH number (at that point fly the mach number, not IAS).>>What is IAS then? Also is there a way to convert mach speeds to IAS?IAS = indicated airspeed (see my prior post for discussion of IAS v. TAS: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=27786&page=)mach to IAS: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/atmosphere/q0112.shtml--

>> Will you plse tell my the steps I take to get >>into A1 traffic. What order do I do things?i suggest you check the 'read me' files that come with the base installers from world of ai and project ai. both organizations have helpful forums -* http://www.projectai.com/* http://www.world-of-ai.com/>>AFCAD: Do you have to download One airport at a >>time? What file in fs9 do I install them?some come in packages and others are by airport. it depends on what you are looking for. a good way to start is by searching for a single airport (say one near your home) in avsim.com's or flightsim.com's libraries. download the file and then review the 'read me' file.--

That is because you're missing that component in your computer and the application requires it. Please do an Internet search on it and you will find it. Have funDave Vega
