September 22, 200718 yr Since I migrated to Triplehead, I can only use virtual cockpits on my LCDs which has wiped out 90% of my freeware FS2004 fleet. Can anybody recommend a good 737 "classic" (i.e., -200, -300, and -400 models) cockpit panel in VC mode that I could use ?Thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
September 22, 200718 yr Not sure I understand your post. The VC is part of the model, not the panel. So if the model has a VC, the panel.cfg can put gauges into it. If it doesn't, then it can't. As far as I know, there are no freeware 737 classics (don't forget the -500) with VCs. Erick Cantu's VistaLiners classic -400 has a rudimentary VC but it has no active gauges. That's all there is, as far as I know.;)
September 22, 200718 yr Author Thanks, Microlight. You answered the Q very clearly. Sorry if I was a bit unclear but I guess you interpreted it right. Appreciated!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
September 23, 200718 yr Pleasure. If you want a freeware 737 with a top-notch dynamic clickable VC then look at the 737 Experience, which is a -700. It's available here in the downloads - go for the updated version, and add the updated flight dynamics too.;)
