November 1, 200718 yr Moderator Hi folks. I am trying to clean up a couple AFCAD by placing the traffic at the correct gates. This shouldn't be a real hard task, but I need to find a utility or a list of what FS9 and AI manufactures commanly use for parking codes, ie. Spirit Airlines=NKS, American=AAL, Delta=DAL. I know I could search all my AI cfg's for them but with hundreds of airlines and cargo lines it would take me forever. I searched here in the library but didn't see anything in the utilities section meeting my need. Thanks in advance.Regards,Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 1, 200718 yr It's all there in AFCAD. Double click a parking space and a properties window opens, in the bottom box click on the arrow next to the open window, a list of codes will appearDave
November 1, 200718 yr In AFCAD itself in the dropdown for selection list is the airlines by name. This will then place the parking code in the box. This list is a few years old.To use current codes to match modern AI based on real airlines, try searching for the airline in Wikipedia.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_PageThe airline description should contain the three letter code. You can also query by airline name here (partial name OK):https://extranet.eurocontrol.int/http://pri...tors_browse.jspor here:http://www.airlinecodes.co.uk/airlcodesearch.aspParking codes are also in the aircraft.cfg file for each FS aircraft both AI and flyable. The aircraft editor tool in AFCAD will list your installed aircraft by type and airline name. Double-click on the aircraft/airline and you get a window with code from the files. Don't edit any of this however.
November 1, 200718 yr In your AFCAD directory there is a notepad document called "ParkingSpecs". All the airline names and parking codes that are installed in AFCAD & FS are listed here. To find airlines/codes quickly (as there are a fair few in there) I copied and imported the document to Excel and have saved a copy of it as a spreadsheet which I find easier to read and I can quickly search for airlines according to parking codes.
