NDBs do not provide DME (distance measuring equipment) information. The mileage was coming from a VOR station behind you. That VOR was tuned in on one of you NAV radios.R-

>> NDBs do not provide DME (distance measuring equipment) information.DME can be colocated with an NDB. For example, in Spain, San Sabastian (HIG) is an NDB-DME (http://www.worldaerodata.com/wad.cgi?nav=SAN+SEBASTIAN&nav_id=HIG&nav_type=7).Although rare, they do exist. However, when discussing Flight Sim, it's fair to say NDBs do not provide DME.

>Yeah NDB is a crude navigation source no DME >RobWRONG...as stated above NDBs can have DME associated with them, however they are very very rare in the USA.
