Fuel Burn Rates

There is not a lot of information available on fuel burn due to the varioations that occur at different altitudes and speeds. Some folks have asked for average numbers that they can use in Flight Sim programs including Cargo Pilot.Here are some numbers I use in my Virtual Airline:Props Type Class Lbs/Hr $/Hr Light Single 1 55 $ 24.75 PA-28 Light Twin 2 90 $ 40.50 Senaca Medium Single 3 130 $ 58.50 Mooney Medium Twin 4 750 $ 337.50 C-90 DHC-6 Large Single 5 380 $ 171.00 PC-12 Caravan 208B Large Twin 6 1300 $ 585.00 B1900 ATR-42 Large 4-Engine 7 1500 $ 675.00 Dash 7 Ex Large 4-Engine 8 5000 $ 2,250.00 C-130 Jets Type Class Lbs/Hr $/Hr Light Twin 9 850 $ 382.50 Citation Medium Twin (A) 10 3,500 $ 1,575.00 ERJ 170 F28 Medium Twin (:( 11 4,800 $ 2,160.00 B737 F100 Large Twin 12 16,000 $ 7,200.00 A300 Medium 3-Engine 13 7,300 $ 3,285.00 B727 Large 3-Engine 14 12,000 $ 5,400.00 Ex Large 3-Engine 15 25,050 $ 11,272.50 DC-10 Small 4-Engine 16 4,000 $ 1,800.00 BAE-146 Medium 4-Engine 17 17,600 $ 7,920.00 B707 Large 4-Engine 18 28,000 $ 12,600.00 B747 Extra Large 19 35,000 $ 15,750.00
