Portland Flightscenery and ut-usa

Sorry to start this topic on avsim, but I can't login on the flightscenery support forum, also this involves flytampa/flightscenery and flightone.My problem is, I am starting my third fresh install off fs9.1 this week. I want to use UT-usa and all the latest updates and landclass switches together with ksea Flytampa and Portland flightscenery. Hi Rick,Switch your default startup situation to the default Meigs location (you can select either, Seattle was added when Meigs closed but Meigs is a historic startup so it is also included with FS9). I too found that the default KSEA startup situation will cause a CTD after installing FlyTampa KSEA. You can install both FlyTampa Seattle and FlightScenery FlightZone2 Portland but the mesh update from FlyTampa should not be used with FlightZone2 (you'll get funny bumps on the Columbia river shoreline alongside PDX, why that file extends this far south I don't know!). Check for duplicate AFCAD files and remove/rename (.bgl to .bgx or .org), if you are running AI traffic programs you will already have additional AFCADs for KSEA and KPDX. Your computer will allow one additional AFCAD that sits above the default AFCADs but if there are more than that it will cause problems. Make sure you understand this AFCAD operation because there are AFCADs for signs that need to remain, just the ones with actual runways and taxiways need to be removed/renamed to avoid conflicts with the FlyTampa and FlightZone sceneries. Lastly if you are running Holger Sandmann's Columbia Gorge there will be additional files that need to be altered and those fixes have readme's that detail how to do this so all three get along and play well together.

> I am starting my third fresh install off fs9.1 this week.I'm not sure why a lot of people always go for the reinstall, let alone thrice a week... ;-DBut anyway, check out this thread and follow the link to the Avsim topic: http://www.flightscenery.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1068. That will allow you to disable the proper flatten files.This patch is a must also.I have UT, KSEA and KPDX, disabled flatten, plus the patch. Zero problems.

I do a reinstall, because portland and ut changed some scenery.bgl files, and when I uninstalled them, my ksea area was messed up.
