FS9 Original, safe to delete !

Hi,After using the FS9.1 for a long time now, I was wondering if it is safe to delete the folder marked BACKUP in the FS directory.I do not intend to ever go back to the original FS9 after being on FS9.1.Just curious.Thanks.
