Can I suggest you give us a clue what sort of thing you fancy?i.e. single or twin general aviationtwin turbopropregional airlinerlarge airlinermilitaryhelicopterancient or modernand then most importantly, whether you are willing to pay or want to try something for free.Also, it would help if you gave some details of the PC and video card you are using. Some add-ons need a top rate machine to run them, being far more advanced than the standard FS models.

If you are looking for good payware aircraft http://www.flight1.com/ is a good place to start. You'll find tons of great addons to transform your flying experiance. The options are endless. While you're at it there are 1000's of good freeware sceneries waiting to be downloaded too. I would follow up on Alchim inquiry: what do you want to fly??? In particular I was thinking that if you like old airliners there are very good freeware available; e.g. old props: calclassic, old jets: HJG. If you narrow things down a bit I'm sure you will get much help from all of us. Mike

All good suggetsions.8 years ago when I started to become interested in add ons, the first place I went was flightsim.com. Back then they had the edge on add on files. AVISM is the best site for add ons now and has been for the last several years IMHO.One thing flightsim.com has are very simple tutorials for adding aircraft, sound, scenery and panels. If you are not familiar with the process, check them out. They will save you a lot of time. They helped me a quite a bit by laying out the fs file structure and telling me where things usually go. Of course, if you need additional help, these forums are a wealth of information. Search and you can find almost anything you are looking for.

thanks for all the input, really helped out alot. i have been getting aircraft(military) from surclaro.com, but not all the freeware ones load. im still getting used to this. if anyone has tried this site, any help would be useful. i have followed directions as stated in the download, but not all planes and hellis load. thanks again
