KSFO and KSAN FlyTampa Scenery no longer visible

Recommended Posts

Hello,Does anybody have any ides what is causing this. At the two airports mentioned above, I no longer have any scenery but the AFCADS work and the airports are selectable. I do not have any visible runways, buildings or tarmac - just a bunch of ai sitting in a field. Auto gen and city scenery are visible in the areas not covered by the airport scenery. My scenery.cfg is clean and the scenery I installed was 9 Dragons and some of the Overland Japanese airports. I just can't figure out was happened. I can post my config if needed.Cloud 9 LAX is fine (although I seem to be experiencing some runway bleed through). I also checked the other Fly Tampa airports and they are fine. I also checked the default KLGB and it was there as well.BTW, at one time I had a utility that would renumber your scenery.cfg after you added new scenery. It placed the scenery enteries in the order they appeared in the scenery.cfg rather than by layer #. It is a different utility than FSTscenery.exe. Does anyone know the name of the utility and where I can find it?Thanks!

Jeff,Every now and again it happens to me also. It's usually related to the fact that I need to raise the 'scenery priority' and make sure they're placed above the photo layer for that area...if my memory serves me correctly. You should have the addon airports near the top, then any local mesh directly below, then UT, then the photo layers...is what I think are the proper layers. You might have to also check your cfg files to make sure you don't have duplicate entries for those addon areas/airports as that can cause problems.Hope that helps from coming off the top of my head. :-)

Dan,I'm fairly sure that's the order. I'd have to look at my cfg file again to be 100%.That was an old project (Lear 45 for FS9) we were working on when we were still in business.

Jeff, Too bad. I wish someone would put together a good Lear 45 or 35 with an fmc and the works. Something along the lines of Eaglesoft or PMDG.Thanks, Dan

Yeah, I hear ya. I've got the Primus 1000/AFM for the 45 if Mike gives me permission to give it out, I may be persuaded to release it to someone worthy.:9
