Overland FDE and panel updates

Recommended Posts

Guest Outer Marker

Hi folks,As some of you know, I have been updating the Overland FDE files and have uploaded the Airbus A320 family to AVSIM already. As I progress through the models, I am noticing some panel/gauge issues. Specifically, The A330 family Fuel on Board digit display is off such that at full fuel load, the display reads 24,000 lbs instead of 240,000 lbs. The flap display is a bit off as well.Is anyone else experiencing this? I use an LCD monitor running at 1600x1200 resolution, and I get the same panel/gauge issues at lower resolutions. I've fixed them on my system, and if others are having the same problems, I'll include the fixes with the FDE updates when I upload to AVSIM.The A330-200 is just about finished. Just a few last things to sort. In the meantime, for those of you looking for my FDE updates for the A320 family, please find them here: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...&Go=Change+View-- Bryan Betts

hi bryani'm having the same problems and yesterday i emailed overland about it.do the boeing aircraft have the same flap indicator issues like a smudge on the indicator and the indicator not showing the flaps going all the way down?when i deploy them one side shows them going down to flaps 2 while the other goes to full flaps.i'm using the VC and would like to know of any issues with the boeing jets before i buy them if there are any. i know of some from reading the review but nothing was said about the panel/flap indicator.thanks, william

Well, Bryan...I just wanted to chime in here and let you know how much your updates are appreciated. Definitely a difference in handling and performance and the A320 series certainly 'feels' much more realistic. Thanks again for all your efforts.

I'm not sure if the Boeing aircraft are affected. I'll check that out tonight. At any rate I'll package FDE and panel/gauge updates together from now on.-- Bryan

I am certainly going to try. I don't really have a particular order, but I am trying to work through the Airbus models first. I am also trying to maintain a similar "feel" to each aircraft family to simulate Airbus family commonality for instance. Stay tuned!-- Bryan
