Heya,I need charts that show the parking positions at KIAD and KLAX. I can get taxi charts but not ones that show gate numbers. Could someone also answer a few questions about the operational aspects of KIAD, like: What airlines use what gates, what aircraft use what gates etc? Thanks

A simple resource is the Web page for many airports. I know KLAX has gate numbers and airline assignments by terminal on their Web page. KPHX does an above-average job on theirs. Some sites, on the other hand, go into excruciating detail about where the Burger Kings are but don't give much of a clue about air ops, possibly out of excessive 9/11 paranoia. Go to Google and type in the airport name - the official sites are usually near the top.MapQuest, by the way, has aerial photos of most places in the US. You can locate an airport (many directly from a menu selection, others by city or lat/lon) and then get an overhead. I can usually identify Northwest's planes from the color, but the rest all look the same.

You can use the AOPA Taxi Diagram database. In addition to high quality facility charts, it will give you the links for the individual airports. You should be able to find gate info, if available, there.Boyd BarkerSenior Command CaptainKBOS Hub ManagerWestWind Airlineshttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/DFexperience.jpghttp://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/checklist.htmlMy DF737 Around the World Adventure: http://home.houston.rr.com/checklist/aroundtheworld.html
