3D Lights REDUX for FS9 - question

Does anyone know if the new 3D Lights REDUX for FS9 automatically makes all the addon AI traffic planes (Ultimate Traffic and My Traffic) planes work with the 3D lights? Or, do I have to do something to make all the AI planes work with the 3D lights?Thanks,Chris Catalano

No you will have to edit them yourself but if you have a look at the boards over at the shockwave site they have got quite a library of user edits going Mark

You have to edit the lights section of each aircraft. There is a thread further down this forum where this has already been discussed about a week ago. Howz the FPS after installing? Any noticeable difference?

None whatsoever - or rather, I should say "unmeasurable" since there probably is a subtle change somewhere :)Note: I'm generally looking at airports with up to 100-150 AI planes. I've not really been out "testing" with really big airports but I doubt there is a difference there either.Geoff

Guy's.NO Hits on FPS Whatsoever.Whatever you do, GET them, there great, and it does indeed make a big difference to the enjoyment on the sim.I'm enjoying Night Flying once more.A couple of little quirks that you have to get used to though, they can seem a bit too bright during the day, and the installer is way too finicky, we have had to try and find ways of confusing the installer, as at some point some of our add-ons have done something somewhere that their installer doesn't seem to like / find.Apart from that no problems at all.PS I would have liked a completely MANUAL alternative, kind of what the 9Dragons guy's gave us, as I like to know Exactly what I'm putting in the sim.Someone posted a suggestion that all you do is make a dummy folder with two files in it, FS9.exe and the EULA.Rtf, but that still didn't work for some.

I guess I am a bit confused still - if I buy this, what will it do AUTOMATICALLY out of the box for FS9 - JUST add lights to the default planes (which I actually never use - I almost always fly the PMDG 737)? Or are there other benefits that happen immediately upon installation. I am not sure I want to go through a lengthy process of editing every single one of my Ultimate Traffic planes manually - not only are there hundreds of these, but it would take a while I am sure....Thanks,Chris Catalano

I agree totally. I will buy it if it is easy to set up with PMDG 737 which is what I fly. Has anyone got a link to the settings?

I too cant seem to get a clear picture of what this does.... does it fix the low visibility bug with Landing and taxi lights? I fly from the Flightdeck not Spotview or wingviews so I dont care if just makes Models pretty.
