No runways or texture when landing

When I am within a few miles of any airport and I am on final, the ground textures go very blurry and the entire aiport disappears except for the actual airport buildings. I did an uninstall and reinstall of fs2004 but I just did the cd uninstall which doesn't remove all of the folders but just basically allows you to reinstall.I would hate to have to rip it all out, but Its looking that way.I am using FS Live Traffic. My machine is a Pentium 4 2.8gig, 1 gb Ram, ATI 1300C factory oc'd to 512.When I depart from an airport all of the textures and runways are exactly right. IT seems to happen when I am withn 10-15 miles or so.Thanks for any advice

No advice on the cause of your problem but as a possble "quick fix", try assigning a key combination to the Refresh Scenery entry on the Assignments dialogue.Hitting the assigned Refresh key as you get close to an airport will quickly reload the scenery and may allow you to land properly.That dialogue is accessed at Settings / Assignments.

Thanks for the tip. That will bring the scenery back but I am hoping I can find the root cause because I know that I never used to have to do that. I even tried uninstalling all of my addon scenery but didn't remedy it either..Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate the help.

I noticed that you didn't respond to my question in your other thread with this same basic problem. Does your aircraft textures work now once you press the refresh key??? And did you check for empty texture folders like I posted there? I'm pretty sure you have a memory leak my friend. Fixing it could be easy, or it could be a drag. You have the 9.1 patch installed, right? That was supposed to fix a memory leak linked to the Autogen.dolph
