Dreamwings Dash 8 FDE

I have searched for an fde fix for the Dreamwings Dash 8 bounce and other issues, and can only find a fix for the Q400. Are there any fde fixes for the Q200. I did use the Avsim search function but didn't come up with anything...:( Thanks,Scott

I wish I could say these contact points worked, but I sank into the runway and crashed immediately after launching the flight. Thanks for the help though, at least you are having luck with those contact points.Scott

I don't have the Dreamwings Q200 (using the premierdesign freebie), but the symptom you describe of sinking into the ground is usually caused by the static cg height being too low. Change the static cg height to something like 10.0. If it's too high the plane will float above the ground, then you can lower the value until it sits where it should. Once that is set, see if the new contact points are better with the bouncing. If not, the 9th parameter in the contact point line sets the stiffness of the struts. Set it to something like 0.10 (super stiff) and then keep increasing (1.0 will cause every plane to bounce like crazy ;-) ) until the bouncing starts and then back off again. To make the testing easier always load the default flight, then change to your Dash. IF you need to make changes just escape out of the flight, leave FS running. Go edit the cfg, restart the default flight and then reload the Dash. Repeat. Saves having to exit and reboot FS for every little change especially when tweaking contact points. Mike

I do not have any bouncing issues with the Dreamwings Q200. HiI had the same problem and found this solution.In the aircraft.cfg:empty_weight_CG_position = 1.500, 0.000, 0.000if you change 1.500 to 1.000 it stops the frustrating bouncing.RegardsHenrik KorningGreenland
